Chemistry for NEET is tough or a high scoring paper?

NEET

Chemistry is one of three compulsory subjects for the NEET examination along with Physics and Biology. It is high scoring subject, yet students feel it is tough because of the lengthy syllabus and scattered topics. Though Chemistry for NEET is considered a tough nut to crack, there are some strategies that may help to score more in the paper while attempting the NEET exam.

The chemistry syllabus for medical exams is slightly lengthy. A NEET paper consists of 180 questions. Out of these 180 problems listed in a NEET question paper, 45 are from Chemistry. An average student can easily score 80 to 100 marks in the paper, but these are insufficient for getting into the merit for the government medical colleges. Students need to make some extra efforts to score 150 to 170 marks in the Chemistry paper of the NEET exam. Interestingly, most of the students who crack the NEET exam score more than 140 marks in Chemistry for NEET.

Razi Akhtar, a faculty at Delhi-based coaching institute, The Hind Guru Academy suggests, “One should score somewhere between 100 to 120 marks in the Chemistry paper if he or she wants to succeed in an attempt to clear NEET exam”. “Candidates with a decent hold on the subject can easily do this unless he or she is very careless or have some phobia related to the examination”, he adds.

Why do students score low in Chemistry papers while attempting the NEET examination despite this being an easy paper? Manju Sinha, a Chemistry teacher with a senior secondary school in Ghaziabad says,” Students rely on NCERT books for the NEET exam. It is true that NCERT book is enough and sufficient for the paper of Biology but unfortunately for physics and chemistry they need to get some additional study material”.

Here comes the real problem for the aspirants of the medical entrance examination. Chemistry is really a tough and vast subject. Sometimes students ignore it for the sake of Biology and think that they may score 300 plus in Biology to compensate for the losses in Chemistry. This proves to be insufficient. Physics holds similar issues and only those who are numerically good manage to get out of the troubled waters.

So, what’s the solution? The solution lies either in a good teacher, a good coaching institution, or in the quality study material. The student should source some quality books in consultation with their teacher. It is recommendable not to ignore the possibility of scoring every single mark in the NEET exam. Is NEET Physics Tough?- True or Just a Myth? – Unlocking the Secrets

Is Neet Physics Tough, really ! Are you gearing up for the NEET examination, feeling the pressure of mastering every subject, especially physics? You’re not alone. Many aspiring medical students grapple with the notion that NEET physics is exceptionally challenging. But is it really as tough as it seems, or is it just a myth perpetuated by the exam anxiety? Let’s embark on a journey to demystify NEET physics and explore how you can conquer this subject with confidence and determination.

Is Neet Physics Tough

Understanding the Perception: Why Is NEET Physics Deemed Difficult?

NEET, being one of the most competitive medical entrance exams, demands a comprehensive understanding of physics concepts. However, the perception of difficulty often stems from various factors:

1. Concept Complexity: Physics involves intricate theories and principles, making it appear daunting for many students.

2. Numerical Challenges: The subject requires a strong grasp of mathematical concepts, posing challenges for those not comfortable with calculations.

3. Exam Pressure: The fear of physics being tough intensifies due to the significance of NEET scores in determining medical admissions.

Is Neet Physics Tough -The Common Perception of Medical Students

A prevalent stereotype among medical students revolves around academic strengths, particularly in the context of biology. Some students believe they excel in biology just because their scores in this subject are higher than those in physics and chemistry. For such individuals, an ideal scenario would be an overall easy paper. However, this approach might not yield significant benefits in the end. Even if the paper is easy, their rank may not be impressive, primarily because their knowledge, especially in physics, is formula-based. Thus, the perceived advantage might not translate into a remarkable rank.

Breaking the Mold – The Unconventional Approach of Neet Students

Contrary to the stereotype, there are non-stereotypical medical students, who possess a strong grasp of physics from the beginning but struggle with biology. However, despite the initial challenges, these students manage to achieve decent scores in all subjects. What sets them apart is their balanced performance across disciplines. Their strength lies in physics or chemistry, which becomes the driving force behind their impressive rank. Unlike the stereotypical student, their success isn’t limited to easy papers; instead, their comprehensive understanding and proficiency in specific subjects substantially enhance their overall rank

Beyond Stereotypes: Mastering NEET Physics with a Fresh Perspective

Physics is one of the papers in the NEET exam that students usually find most difficult to solve. The reason is, most of the students devote their time to Biology and Chemistry and Physics either remain unresolved or a neglected topic. It is when most of the toppers score well in Physics to get higher ranks in the NEET exam.

Is Neet Physics tough now, relaxed .Physics isn’t as tough as our students perceive it to be. Though the students of the Biology stream are afraid of calculations and the derivations involved it is an interesting paper. All we need is to make a proper subject plan, a good teacher and some quality books. Quality coaching institutions like the Hind Guru Academy can be helpful to tackle the obstacles created by Physics.
