Do you know, the fake agents and allotment letters issued by scrupulous persons on behalf of them can ruin your career? The Medical Counselling Council (MCC) has asked the undergraduate medical aspirants to beware of fake agents as they may land the students in deep trouble.

As the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the NEET Exam 2022, the race for admissions in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses started. We all are aware that only a handful of 16 lakh aspirants who appeared in the NEET exam were able to clear the cut-off set for admissions in various medical/dental colleges. This creates room for cheaters, scrupulous people, and fake agents to trap the students in the name of assured admissions.

“These people ask for hefty money from the students”, says Noor Nawaz Khan, director of Delhi based Coaching, The Hind Guru Academy and the admission support agency, The Hind Guru Educational Services. “They will collect money for many students. Students will get admission of their own, but they will claim, they did it. If someone fails to secure admission they will return some money, but it is a scam”, he adds.

Actually, the students worried about securing a seat during the counselling or those who have scored less in the NEET exam try to get admission from the backdoor. Here comes the role of a cheater. He will give assurance about the admission, but may produce fake letters and claim some fake contacts. They may finally make money and run away, leaving the students with no choices.

“It’s better to appear in NEET Exam 2022 than giving your hard-earned money to such cheats,” says Changhez Khan, managing partner with Delhi based legal firm Diwan Advocates. Every year we file dozen of cases after clients approach us for being cheated”, says Changhez Khan while adding that the only way out is to be careful and to reach the colleges through a proper channel.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has also warned the students to beware of such frauds. “Any case of fraudulent website or agent should be immediately reported to the MCC and First Information Report (FIR) should be lodged by candidates for such matters as soon as possible, the counselling committee has said in its latest notice.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), is responsible for conducting all India quota NEET counselling 2021, for admissions in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses.
