When will the NEET Counselling start?

The counselling for NEET 2021 may now be deferred by another four weeks as the Centre has decided to review the limit of 8 Lakh rupees determined for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota.

Students who have cleared the NEET exam 2021 are anxiously waiting for the counselling to start for the admissions in medical and dental colleges. Their wait may now be extended for the next one month. According to Live Law, the Central Government has told the Supreme Court that it is ready to review the limit of 8 Lakh for the EWS category but it may take at least four more weeks to work out the required things.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked the Centre Government to put on hold the counselling for NEET PG until the Apex Court decides the validity of the Centre’s decision to introduce OBC and EWS reservation. The centre had put the Rs. 8 Lakh annual income fixed for determining the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category for reservation in NEET admissions for Post-Graduate medical courses.

A bench consisting of Justices DY Chandrachud, Surya Kant, and Vikram Nath was informed by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta that a committee will be constituted to determine the criteria for EWS, He told the court that it would take four weeks. The Solicitor General also assured a bench that the counselling for NEET won’t take place until then.

Senior advocate Arvind Datar, who is representing the petitioners, had asked the court, whether Rs 70,000 income per month can be called EWS?  On this objection, Justice Kant said that the aspect of limit can be worked out. The question came after the writ petitions challenging 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and 10 per cent reservation for EWS in all-India Quota seats for postgraduate medical courses were filed in Supreme Court.

Whatever may be the decision, this may extend the wait for the students who are declared successful in NEET 2021 exam. Students are anxiously waiting for the admission process to start. Though, the NEET counselling for 85 per cent of state quota seats is conducted by different state agencies. Students who want to take MBBS admission under state quota seats will have to apply through state counselling websites. So far, the Assam NEET counselling merit list has been released.

Chemistry for NEET is tough or a high scoring paper?

NEET

Chemistry is one of three compulsory subjects for the NEET examination along with Physics and Biology. It is high scoring subject, yet students feel it is tough because of the lengthy syllabus and scattered topics. Though Chemistry for NEET is considered a tough nut to crack, there are some strategies that may help to score more in the paper while attempting the NEET exam.

The chemistry syllabus for medical exams is slightly lengthy. A NEET paper consists of 180 questions. Out of these 180 problems listed in a NEET question paper, 45 are from Chemistry. An average student can easily score 80 to 100 marks in the paper, but these are insufficient for getting into the merit for the government medical colleges. Students need to make some extra efforts to score 150 to 170 marks in the Chemistry paper of the NEET exam. Interestingly, most of the students who crack the NEET exam score more than 140 marks in Chemistry for NEET.

Razi Akhtar, a faculty at Delhi-based coaching institute, The Hind Guru Academy suggests, “One should score somewhere between 100 to 120 marks in the Chemistry paper if he or she wants to succeed in an attempt to clear NEET exam”. “Candidates with a decent hold on the subject can easily do this unless he or she is very careless or have some phobia related to the examination”, he adds.

Why do students score low in Chemistry papers while attempting the NEET examination despite this being an easy paper? Manju Sinha, a Chemistry teacher with a senior secondary school in Ghaziabad says,” Students rely on NCERT books for the NEET exam. It is true that NCERT book is enough and sufficient for the paper of Biology but unfortunately for physics and chemistry they need to get some additional study material”.

Here comes the real problem for the aspirants of the medical entrance examination. Chemistry is really a tough and vast subject. Sometimes students ignore it for the sake of Biology and think that they may score 300 plus in Biology to compensate for the losses in Chemistry. This proves to be insufficient. Physics holds similar issues and only those who are numerically good manage to get out of the troubled waters.

So, what’s the solution? The solution lies either in a good teacher, a good coaching institution, or in the quality study material. The student should source some quality books in consultation with their teacher. It is recommendable not to ignore the possibility of scoring every single mark in the NEET exam. Beware of fake agents, MCC warns Medical Aspirants

NEET Coaching Near me 423434

Do you know, the fake agents and allotment letters issued by scrupulous persons on behalf of them can ruin your career? The Medical Counselling Council (MCC) has asked the undergraduate medical aspirants to beware of fake agents as they may land the students in deep trouble.

As the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the NEET Exam 2022, the race for admissions in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses started. We all are aware that only a handful of 16 lakh aspirants who appeared in the NEET exam were able to clear the cut-off set for admissions in various medical/dental colleges. This creates room for cheaters, scrupulous people, and fake agents to trap the students in the name of assured admissions.

“These people ask for hefty money from the students”, says Noor Nawaz Khan, director of Delhi based Coaching, The Hind Guru Academy and the admission support agency, The Hind Guru Educational Services. “They will collect money for many students. Students will get admission of their own, but they will claim, they did it. If someone fails to secure admission they will return some money, but it is a scam”, he adds.

Actually, the students worried about securing a seat during the counselling or those who have scored less in the NEET exam try to get admission from the backdoor. Here comes the role of a cheater. He will give assurance about the admission, but may produce fake letters and claim some fake contacts. They may finally make money and run away, leaving the students with no choices.

“It’s better to appear in NEET Exam 2022 than giving your hard-earned money to such cheats,” says Changhez Khan, managing partner with Delhi based legal firm Diwan Advocates. Every year we file dozen of cases after clients approach us for being cheated”, says Changhez Khan while adding that the only way out is to be careful and to reach the colleges through a proper channel.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has also warned the students to beware of such frauds. “Any case of fraudulent website or agent should be immediately reported to the MCC and First Information Report (FIR) should be lodged by candidates for such matters as soon as possible, the counselling committee has said in its latest notice.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), is responsible for conducting all India quota NEET counselling 2021, for admissions in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses.

What is the nominal fees for NEET coaching in Delhi?

neet

NEET is the eligibility exam for admission in medical courses like MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing etc. NEET Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and it is considered one of the toughest examinations in India. The exam requires lot of preparation for which students turn towards the coaching Institutes. Fees for coaching is one of the consideration while selecting the coaching. Question is, what is the nominal fees for NEET coaching in Delhi?

NEET examination is held every year, probably in the month of May for admission into various medical and dental colleges in India. Through the exam, students are offered 90,000 seats in MBBS and BDS Colleges of India. Approximate 16 Lakh students from India and abroad attempt to crack the NEET exam every year. This leaves the huge gap between the number of applicants and the number of seats, thus leading to a big competition. Here comes the role of a good coaching institute for NEET. Students often ask, what is the nominal fees for NEET coaching in Delhi?

To crack the NEET exam, aspirant need to go through a vide syllabus and extensive study. A good coaching institute for NEET can guide him/her to manage the study time, segregate the syllabus according to the need, identify the weaknesses and strengths, and manage the study schedule. It is very much helpful but comes with a cost. Though the fees for the NEET coaching institute may vary, but it depends of many factors. Still the question remains, what is the nominal fees for NEET coaching in Delhi?

Coaching institutes hire faculty, counsellors and support staff. More efficient the staff, higher is their salary. A good, experienced faculty comes at higher prices. There is so much competition in the coaching industry that the next organisation is always ready to hire and pay some extra money to every efficient and experienced teacher. The coaching institutes bear an extra burden to keep their flock intact and focussed only on academics by paying them appropriately.

Another factor behind fixing a fee is the cost work analysis or the balance sheet. More the facilities, more is the expenditure. Books, printing, conducting exam, technology, facilities, even water comes with a price tag. Owner or the administrators calculate the cost of all inputs into the business. Obviously, more the inputs, more are the costs. But not every time higher costs bring the better results. Bigger the organisation, bigger is their expenditure and more they want to earn a profit.

A nominal fee for NEET coaching runs somewhere between one lakh and two Lakh per session. It depends on the quality of faculty, facilities and location rentals, and recurring costs, plus the profit margins. Sometimes, students have to pay for the higher rentals of the location hired by the organisation, undue salaries to the faculty for joining them from other organisation and the lust for extra profits by the owners.

It is not necessary that the high fees makes the coaching institute good. Parents should analyse the previous year results. Also, while considering the results, analyse the strata from which students have joined an institute.

Not all students are equal. Some coaching institutes give admission to the students who are already good in studies and have a solid foundation of academics. It is not a miracle to get a brilliant student into the NEET. Miracle is to shape the average students from backward and middle class backgrounds and mould them to fit into the NEET framework and that too at a nominal cost.

Hope you got the answer for, what is the nominal fees for NEET coaching in Delhi. For more such queries visit our blog here.

Which are the best books for NEET preparation?

NEET

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET examination every year in offline mode. It is considered one of the toughest examinations in India. A wide syllabus and complicated question paper make it tough for the students to crack the NEET exam. Students often ask, “Which are the best books for NEET preparation” and “Which is the best study material for NEET?”

Students have started their preparations for the NEET Exam 2022 and the NEET Exam 2023. There are a wide variety of study material and a huge range of books available in the material. Most of the publishers claim they have the best books or the best study material for NEET Exam. Maybe their claims are true but the question is, what criteria they have set to claim the best books for NEET?

When we go to the market, we find comprehensive study material. Though the syllabus is one, there are a hundred types of books and study material in the market. This often confuses us and we are unable to make the correct choice. “We should not purchase a book only on the basis of the reputation of a writer or the publisher”, says Noor Nawaz Khan, Director of Delhi-based premium coaching institute for NEET, The Hind Guru Academy in Okhla. “We should check whether the book covers all the topics, have an easy language, easy to understand and clears all our doubts”, he adds.

Actually, preparation for NEET is all about clearing our basic concepts and making the basic strategies. “It doesn’t matter how many pages are there in a book rather what matters is the content”, says Rachna Mittal, a Delhi-based Biology tutor for NEET, while adding that “a good book is the one that clears the doubts and strengthens our knowledge base.

Which book meets the criteria? Experts suggest, “NCERT books still lead the race”, though many publishers have come up with point-to-point, comprehensive books, and study material. Also, premium coaching institutes like Akash, Narayana, Bansal, and The Hind Guru Academy have developed their own study material. These institutes eliminate surplus topics, add a variety of questions and provide content that is easy to understand. Even though some of the institutes charge a high royalty for their study material, but it is worth purchasing.

Hopefully, this clears the confusion about the good books for NEET. Still, if you have some confusion and want to know more about the syllabus, course, and books for the NEET Exam, visit our blog here.
