The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programmes in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
NEET aspirants often quiz about the minimum score they need to get into the government medical colleges. Though 400 plus is considered a good score in the NEET examination, sometimes it may not be enough to get into a good medical college.
Students often think that scoring 400 in the NEET examination may be enough to make a way into a government medical college. Attempting a NEET exam and scoring the maximum 720 marks in three hours is a very tricky thing. Most of the students fell prey to depression, anxiety or stress. Though it is tough, scoring full 720 marks in the NEET exam isn’t impossible.
A NEET exam question paper contains a total of 180 questions. It is a multiple-choice question or MCQ format paper. Out of these 180 questions, 45 are asked in Physics, 45 in Chemistry, and 45 each in Botany and Zoology. Each correct response gets 4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. Never care for the minor mistakes as this may not cancel your answer sheet. According to the rules mentioned by the National Testing Agency (NTA), no OMR sheet goes unchecked. Even if you have made any mistake in filling in your details it will be checked, unless there is something unbearable.
So, it’s time to answer the questions. Aspirants often ask, “What’s the best way to respond to the question paper?” It is tricky though, but the experiences suggest, one must go for the easiest one first. According to Syed Tanwir Ahmed, coordinator of NEET at Delhi-based premier coaching institute, “The Hind Guru Academy,” always start answering from the portion that is most comfortable for you”.
“Even if there are tough questions in the start and you are not able to answer, five, six, seven of them, don’t panic. Try to switch to the other paper or the next portion and surely it will work”, adds Syed Tanwir Ahmed who teaches Biology for NEET.

The government may soon announce the dates for the JEE Mains and NEET 2021. According to the sources in the Ministry of Education, a plan has been drafted at the PMO level and an announcement could be made soon.
Sources in the ministry suggest that the JEE Mains will be a computer-based exam. Due to pandemic conditions, tt is being considered to call the students on different days to take the exams over a period of three-four days to avoid over-crowding at exam centers.
On the other hand, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has also drawn a complete blueprint for the NEET 2021. The NEET 2021 exams, which were earlier scheduled to be held in early August could be shifted to the last week of August or in the first week of September. The entire examination will be in pen-paper mode.
It is believed that the government doesn’t want to cancel the exams amid the pandemic situation. The recent Covid-19 wave left a devastating effect on India after which many exams were canceled, including the CBSE, ICSE 10th, and 12th examinations. Officials in the Ministry of Education say that the entrance exams cannot be canceled and should be held after reviewing the current situation. “The government is aware that the entrance examinations need to be conducted. National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 in an offline mode on August 1. NEET 2021 is to be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English.

Another important announcement made by the Ministry of Education is that the exam will be conducted only once and not the multiple times. The Minister of Human Resource Development, RameshPokhriyal Nishank, on Monday announced in the Lok Sabha that NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA only one time.
